Have you ever been scrolling through Instagram and just felt like everyone was telling you that you basically do nothing right?
Yesterday all I saw was green ✔️ and big red ❌. I even saw a post telling the readers that just because you ate salad doesn't mean you ate healthy. Excuse me? I ate salad for lunch and feel like I nourished my bod, thank you very much.
Sigh. It's easy to get sucked into a crap mindset after looking at posts. So what can you do?
Recognize that what you are seeing and reading are making you feel bad. Unfollow the accounts that don't line up with your values. Maybe skip looking at social media for a while. I know I need a break. Try finding some accounts that are totally different - I just followed a Harry Potter meme account and it made me laugh! 👍
Keep yourself in check. Social media is great, but sometimes a bit toxic. Don't let it get you down.
